The .yu was the TLD for the Socialistic Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which dissoluted in 1992. The domain was also removed from the root zone following that after 10 years.

We've seen cases where TLDs of countries that no longer exist still exist in the root zone, so it would fit into context to add the .yu domain back into the OpenNIC root zone.
